Remembrances of Dennis

om namo bhagavate śrī ramaṇāya

Hello Devotees, my name is Baskar Kumaresan from Washington, DC metro Satsang. I am happy and blessed to share my days with Dennis.

Dennis is a loving and caring person from the first day that I met him back in the summer of 2016. I got connected with him right away and had a wondeful experience with him.

There are many instances to share, but I am going to share only a few. In July 2017, our family visited Nova Scotia Ashrama from Virginia; we drove all the way. We reached late that day, Dennis was so worried, he asked us how was the journey, how come you're so late.He was caring so much about devotees.

Even now, my son remembers the wonderful time visiting the Virupaksha cave with Dennis. Dennis is always glad to make himself available to Bhagavan's devotees. He took care of our stay in the Nova Scotia Arunachala Ashrama; We had a really good time with him.

I have a vision of starting Bhagavan's meditation center in the DC metro area. I spoke to Anand Ramanan, our current president (of Sri Ramanasramam) in 2018. He told me to please go to India Ramanasramam, you will find your answers. So I went to India in February 2019; I was carrying this question, "how to get my answers for the DC center formation." I was looking for Bhagawan's Grace. I went to dinner on the first day and was surprised to see someone who is familiar with a smiling face. That was Dennis. Dennis was there in the Ashram at the same time. I didn't ask him anything at that time, so I paid my Namaskar, then went to my dinner. The next day, morning, I asked him during breakfast time, "Can we meet today?" He said "let us meet in the evening." For some reason, he stayed back after breakfast, and he said "Ok, let's talk". He took me to the Ashrama's goshala; we were talking for 30 minutes, sharing my ideas, and he was listening to it. Then in the evening, he called me, he told me "Let's do that; Let's form a center, in DC as part of the Arunachala Ashrama." Then I met with Anand's Appa and Amma, got their blessings. It was such an amazing moment; How Bhagawan is carrying us, every moment of our life.

After that visit, I spoke to our devotees in the DC area; I was exchanging some emails with Dennis. on November 11th, he was saying "Why are you planning for 5 year timeline. Why not go ahead and start soon. I was so surprised at his enthusiasm and support; how he wanted things to happen. He was pushing the timeline "let's do it in 2023." I'm sure we'll get there some time with the blessings of Bhagawan and with the guidance of Dennis and other devotees.

We had the Advent celebration in the DC area on 15 September 2019. Dennis graciously agreed to stay in our home. That was a very wonderful time. Dennis and other devotees came to our home. Still I remember the early morning, around 5 o'clock, Dennis was praying in the dark, near the sofa. When I wake up, even now, I look at that spot, I know, Dennis is there. It doesn't matter where he lives, he is always with us.
