Sri Ramana Maharshi Heritage
Thiruthondar Thogai
அன்பொடுன் நாமங்கேள் அன்பர்தம் அன்பருக் கன்பராய் யிடவருள் அருணாசலா (104)
Let me be the votary of the votaries of those who hear Thy name with love, O! Arunachala!
Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi pleaded to Lord Arunachala on behalf of all devotees in
Verse 104 of
Arunachala Akshramanamalai,
to bestow grace, to be a servitor to devotees of devotees of the Lord Arunachala. As there are countless rocks and pebbles at the base of
Arunachala so are
the devotees
of Sri Bhagavan. In the life experiences of these devotees, one can clearly see - as an Amalaka fruit on one’s palm - that Bhagavan’s grace completely filled their lives. On the occasion of the
centenary celebrations of
Sri Ramanasramam,
we, from the San Francisco Bay area Ramana Satsang present this
Sri Ramana Thiruthondar Thogai,
a musical offering of a set of 20 prayer verses that celebrates
108 devotees of Bhagavan.
The verses were inspired by Sri Sundaramurthy Nayanar’s
Thiruthondar Thogai that sings the names of all the
63 Shaivite saints and
Sri Ramana Periya Puranam,
a collection of biographies of 75 of
Bhagavan’s devotees
written by Thiru.V.Ganesan. We consider this presentation of Sri Ramana thiruthondar thogai as a true Blessing from Bhagavan to have the chance to chant the names of
Sri Bhagavan’s devotees.
We surrender this work at the feet of Sri Bhagavan.
