Martin Wolff, In Memoriam
by Malini Kumar
om namo bhagavate śrī ramaṇāya
Martin cannot be explained in a few words. A gem of a person. I had another connection with Martin thorugh his guru, Dr.Yagna Subramanian. Many a time, we have traveled to Stroudsburg. Martin was liked by Yagna Subramanian. When I called Yagna Subramanian's house to convey Martin's merging with Sri Bhagavan, Raji (Yagna's wife) picked up the phone and sh said "Martin a Malini!... runbha sincere student." Then he came online and asked for Billee's email address and said "I'm going to write to Billee. I'll send an email." Martin was one of his most sincere students. He mastered the sanskṛtm language. He also mastered chanting of the mantras of the kṛṣṇa-yajurveda. Once I had taken him to the chandi homam in Stroudsburg. And he chanted the Durga Saptashati. Sitting there, with no experience with chanting that, but he followed the book and his pronunciation was better than mine. While there, he also chanted the Durga suktam 108 times. Martin has also come to many a navaratri puja with me.
Martin is very dear to me. And it is good, as Bille said, that he has been relieved from pain.
