Martin Wolff, In Memoriam

Whenever I think of Martin, two things stand out in my mind. His mission was to teach and propagate the vedas. He took alot of interest in helping fellow devotees to learn the vedas. His intonation was so perfect and he was a perfectionist. He had a very good knowledge of sanskrit and we at the Arunachala Ashrama and elsewhere owe him a deep gratitude for making veda chanting on so many weekends. His devotion to Bhagavan was total and unqualified even during the times when his health was not in the best condition. He used to make trips to Sri Ramanasramam to spend time almost every year.

Personally, it is a matter of celebration more than homage. His life is a great lesson for all of us. Definitely he is in a better place at the lotus feet of Bhagavan. I have to say very admirably about Billee Martin; She has been a source of strength; her devotion to Bhagavan is so total and her serenity is unpoerturbed in so many ways, I am sure she will carry out the wishes of Martin for years to come and she will be a great source of strength for all of us here and elsewhere.
