Mr. Rai was absorbed in Bhagavan yesterday afternoon about 4:30. It appears he was asleep at the time.

On Saturday, me, Shunya and Geeta visited him at his home. He was sitting up with some assistance and was bit restless with eyes closed and somewhat unresponsive. We brought Vibhuti and Kumkum from Ramanasramam. Applied the three stripes of vibhuti and then the kumkum on his forehead. Placed a stone from Arunachala in his hand, recited Arunachala Pancharatna and then chanted Arunachala Siva and Om Shakti for awhile as he held the stone in his hand. He, with difficulty, voiced Arunachala a couple of time and then became very still with eyes closed until we left.

On Sunday he was taken to the hospital where, I was told he become a little stronger and alert, recognizing all who visited and was able to speak a few words. At about 4 pm on Tuesday he lay down and fell into a sleep in which he never woke up from. By 4:30 the breath had stopped.

I am waiting to hear today if the funeral service will be tomorrow or Friday.
